Born June 5, 1950, Daniel (Dan) Hellstrom passed away at home January 18, 2020 after battling cancer. Dan was born to Lennart Paul and Florence Ildrie Sageser Hellstrom in Seattle. Dan grew up with his brothers Ron, Tony and Leonard and his sisters Lindz and Jeanne.

Through the years, Dan worked as a laborer, bus driver and trucker. Since Dan was willing to take on the hardest, most challenging and messiest work with vigor, he earned the nickname "Danimal". He worked for a while as a bus driver and then worked most of his career as a trucker. Dan thoroughly enjoyed trucking whether long or short haul.

Dan also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, camping, fishing, spending time at Rimrock and short road trips with his wife, Jodi.

Dan was a very honest and open man. He wasn't proud of the few rough edges he had. He even grieved over them. He was honest about them and made every attempt to make things right and found satisfaction in God's grace and the fact that God loved him.

Dan loved people. He looked for opportunities to share his greatest treasure with those he met. He found ways to enjoy people and to share Jesus with loved ones, friends and acquaintances. If you were around Dan, it didn't take long for him to start telling how Jesus changed his life.

Dan's pride shined through his eyes every time he spoke of his three sons, Jason, Jeff and Jacob.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Jodi, sons Jeff and Jacob, and siblings Ron, Tony, Lindz and Jeannie.
